My name is Jonah Birkett and I am a singer/songwriter based in central Scotland. I was born in Bournemouth, lived in Cheshire for 7 years and then grew up in the Scottish Borders. Being born to a dad from the north east and a mum from the Borders, I would still consider the northern side of the border 'home'... as you can probably tell by my outfit choice on my wedding day! As well as creative writing, I have huge passions for running, football and the occasional nip of whisky... "Slainte Mhath"!
For years now I have had a passion for writing, whether it be spoken words, songwriting, poems or even the occasional short story. I graduated from Nexus ICA in coventry back in 2018 with a degree in popular music and worship. Since then my love for music, songwriting and anything creative has only grown! Now more than ever, I feel that there is a need for positive words to be spoken and truth to be heard.
I believe that there is so much good that can be done by spreading positive messages and getting the truth out there by way of creative writing.
